Jim Archibald

James L. Archibald (born June 6, 1961 in Craik, Saskatchewan) is a former National Hockey League player.

Archibald attended school at the University of North Dakota. He was a right wing for the Minnesota North Stars and was drafted by the team in the 7th round of the 1981 NHL draft. In his NHL career he played in 16 games scoring one goal and two assists. He is the Head Hockey Coach of the Brainerd Warriors in Brainerd, MN.

While head coach at Brainerd, his son, Josh Archibald, played there. After his senior season, Josh was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 6th round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.[1] Josh was a finalist for the Minnesota Mr. Hockey Award in 2011.[2]
